"I strive to lower property taxes and improve the standard of living here in the Southern Tier. It's been an honor to work with you and for you for the last 10 years and I look forward to continuing to improve our community together for many years to come."
Fighting for the people of the Southern Tier
A lifelong resident of the Southern Tier, Chris was born in Big Flats, NY and was raised here throughout his youth where he attended Horseheads High School.
After graduating from Horseheads, Chris would receive a B.S. in Chemistry form the University of New Hampshire and go on to earn his Master's and Ph.D. in Chemistry from SUNY Buffalo. He is an accomplished chemist, having published over 20 scientific papers and has been named a Fellow by the National Science Foundation.
Chris has always been one to give back to his community. In 2006, he took that interest to the next level when he was elected to the Chemung County Legislature. Four years later he would successfully run to represent his community in the State Assembly.
In the Assembly, Chris serves as the ranking minority member on the Economic Development, Job Creation, Commerce and Industry committee. He is also a committee member on Children and Families, Local Governments, and Corporations, Authorities and Commissions.
Chris lives right where he grew up in Big Flats, with his high school sweetheart, and now wife, Renee and their four children.
